Who we are:
We rescue out of a high-kill facility in Hinesville Georgia - Liberty County Animal Control - located at 279 Briarwood Circle. If you are interested in saving the life of a puppy or a kitten please contact us at ganimalrescue@gmail.com
The animals that end up at Liberty County Animal Control are either found by The Animal Control Officers wandering around unattended, or have been dropped off by people claiming that they are strays.
These animals are given one week to be claimed by their owners or they will be put to sleep. Cats are euthanized every Tuesday morning at 8am and dogs are euthanized every Thursday morning at 8am.
We go to the facility every weekend to interact with each animal, get to know their personalities, take pictures, and learn about them. We then take the time to compile emails to a rescue list that forwards them all over the country, post pictures to websites such as Craig's List, Kijiji, and Pet Finder in order to generate interest in adopting each of them.
Unfortunately we do not know anything about the medical history of each animal so it is vitally necessary that each adopter get the animal vetted immediately. We cannot attest to whether the animal has had shots, etc so all of that is also necessary. A Mandatory Spay/Neuter contract is to be signed by each adopter stating that you will get the animal spayed or neutered within the age of maturity speciifed. Proof of sterilization will be required at a later date.
Thank you,
